Daphne Moritz To Present Thompson Center Speaking Series

DaphneSheehey attorney Daphne Moritz will present a three-part speaking series entitled “Spring Clean Your Legal Affairs” at The Thompson Center, a senior living community in Woodstock, beginning on April 19th.  She presented a similar series at The Thompson Center in 2015.  The series will cover a broad range of topics, with individual sessions as follows:
 

  • April 19, 2016:  Your Top Five Essential Estate Planning Documents
  • May 10, 2016:  Long Term Care Planning and Aging Well (Including Residence Options)
  • May 17, 2016:  Advanced Directives and Legacy Letters.

All sessions will begin at 1:00 PM and are open to the public.

Daphne practices out of Sheehey’s Woodstock office, and her practice focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, guardianship, and related matters.

Attorney Kevin Lumpkin Receives Pro Bono Award

Kevin-newOn April 1, 2016, Sheehey attorney Kevin Lumpkin received the 2016 Vermont Bar Association Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award as part of the VBA’s annual mid-year meeting at the Burlington Hilton.  Kevin was recognized for his frequent participation over the previous year in a pro bono clinic sponsored by the civil division of the Chittenden Superior Court, representing individuals who cannot afford attorneys.

Kevin joined the firm in 2013 and he is an associate attorney in the litigation group.  He regularly represents businesses and individuals in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels.
