Firm Profile

Sheehey Furlong & Behm is a Vermont law firm that provides a full range of legal services to local, national and regional businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals.

The firm was founded in 1926 by renowned Burlington attorney Pearly Feen. Pearly was a mentor to the legal community. Seemingly an entire generation of lawyers worked for Pearly for a time. But, one attorney, Paul D. Sheehey, came to work with Pearly and never left.

Paul was a person of great character and intellect. Those that met him learned that very quickly. As a result, Paul attracted great talent over the years as the firm grew and transformed into a few iterations. From Sheehey, Brue & Gray to Sheehey Brue, Gray & Furlong to, ultimately, Sheehey Furlong & Behm. Throughout the firm’s history, the foundation of the firm has been driven by one simple principle- Do what’s right. From the informed and strategic counsel given to clients to the respect afforded staff and peers to even the cost of legal services, this principle permeates everything we do and is the basis for our past and continued success.

Recently named “Best Law Firm in Burlington” by U.S. News, our talented team of attorneys are established and respected in their practice areas. We approach each unique situation with exceptional attention, understanding, energy, and a dedication to producing results. Simply, we do what’s right.
