Response to COVID-19

Sheehey is committed to guiding its clients through the Coronavirus outbreak. This page summarizes all of the measures that Sheehey is taking to assist its clients while maintaining safe social distancing practices that abide by Governor Scott’s executive orders.

Our Offices Are Closed, But We Are Fully Available To Clients

Consistent with Governor Scott’s executive orders, Sheehey’s offices in Burlington and Woodstock are closed until further notice. Our attorneys and staff continue to do their work remotely, and are fully available to current, former, and prospective clients for any and all legal needs. We have begun to conduct meetings, take depositions, attend and conduct mediations, and conduct other business via Zoom and other video-conferencing platforms.

We are closely monitoring the guidance from the Vermont Legislature and Secretary of State to ensure that transactions, real estate closings, and will signings can occur to the greatest extent possible without jeopardizing the safety of the participants. Because the landscape is constantly shifting, please reach out to us at any time at 864-9891 or by emailing any of our attorneys.

Our Attorneys Continue to Monitor and Analyze State and Federal Legislation

As the state and federal governments craft responses, pass legislation, and issue guidance in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Sheehey’s team of attorneys is continuously monitoring and analyzing the new information. We have created a COVID-19 landing page with analyses of the CARES Act, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and other legislation and guidance from the Vermont and U.S. legislatures and executive agencies. We post new analysis nearly every day, so continue to check back for the latest information.
