Jeffrey Behm joined the firm in 1990 and is a principal in the firm. He specializes in litigation. Mr. Behm has tried more than one-hundred jury trials and has handled numerous appeals in state and federal courts. Since joining the firm, Mr. Behm has represented clients in the litigation, trials and appeals of a variety of civil and criminal matters, including cases involving commercial disputes, government and private fraud actions, antitrust and consumer protection claims, insurance coverage disputes, employment issues and federal criminal cases.
Mr. Behm is ranked in the first tier of Vermont's leading commercial litigation lawyers by Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers, he is recognized in Super Lawyers — Corporate Counsel Edition as a top business litigation lawyer in Vermont and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Behm served for eight years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia and in the District of Vermont. He also served for five years as a trial lawyer for the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition, where he specialized in federal antitrust and trade regulation litigation.
Mr. Behm is a graduate of Duquesne University (B.A. 1974; J.D. cum laude, 1977), where he served during law school as a Comment Editor on the Duquesne Law Review.
