Peter H. Zamore

Peter Zamore rejoined the firm as a principal in 2001, after spending several years as General Counsel to Green Mountain Power Corporation, one of Vermont's largest investor-owned electric utilities (1995 - 1997) and as General Counsel to Green Mountain Energy Company, a start-up national electricity marketing company (1997 - 2000). Mr. Zamore specializes in regulated industries and also practices in the general business/transactional area. Mr. Zamore has represented telecommunications providers (landline and cellular), energy companies and cable television operators in regulatory proceedings and in negotiated transactions, including power supply contracts, marketing agreements, acquisitions and sales of business units.

Mr. Zamore originally joined the firm in 1984 and spent 11 years here before leaving to serve as Green Mountain Power's General Counsel in 1995. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Special Counsel to the Vermont Public Service Board (1979 - 1981) and as Special Counsel to the Vermont Department of Public Service (1981 - 1984).

Mr. Zamore is a graduate of Vermont Law School (cum laude, 1979) and Marlboro College (B.A. cum laude, 1974). Mr. Zamore is listed in the publication Corporate Counsel as a "Best Lawyers in America" selection for energy law.
