Sheehey Adds Two New Attorneys

Sheehey is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys to the firm. Mark E. Melendy and Daphne Moritz joined the firm earlier this month. Since 2009, Mark and Daphne have been partners at Melendy Moritz PLLC, a boutique law firm focusing on estate planning and based in the Upper Valley. To better serve the firm’s clients in the Upper Valley, Sheehey will now have an office in Woodstock, Vermont.

Mark’s practice will focus primarily on complex estate planning as well as business succession planning and trust administration, working out of both the Burlington and Woodstock offices. Mark holds a J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of New Hampshire and an L.L.M. in tax from the Boston University School of law. He holds an AV (Preeminent/Very High Ethical Standards) Martindale-Hubbell peer-review rating.

Daphne will focus on estate planning and elder law as well as real estate and work with non-profit organizations, working primarily out of Sheehey’s Woodstock office. Daphne is the incoming chair of the Vermont Chapter of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and a board member at the Thompson Senior Center in Woodstock, Vermont. She holds both a J.D. and Masters of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School.

Martha Forgione has also joined the firm as a paralegal working out of the Woodstock office.
